Scott Carpenter

I've been delivering quality pieces of art and antiques in the Iowa City area since we opened in 2014.  Our goal is to provide high quality antiques and works of art at affordable prices.  We exhibit at numerous Antique Shows in the Midwest and Northeastern United States.

An important consideration when purchasing antiques and fine art is your return on investment.  I strive to sell quality items that can be used/appreciated daily yet retain value.  For example, most handcrafted furniture from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries doesn't depreciate when you put it in your home.  In addition, the current price of antique furniture is surprisingly affordable!

As the son of antique dealers, I've bought and sold antiques most of my life.  In 1979, I founded a precious metals business where we bought and sold precious metals, estate jewelry, and rare coins.   While I still purhcase precious metals, rare coins, and jewelry, my recent focus has been on fine art and decorative art objects – particularly oil paintings, watercolors, and prints.  I've also focused on folk art,  stoneware and pottery, period furniture,  hand-carved utilitarian and decorative items, and American clocks.
